Self improvement is not only a word. It is a habit that can make or destroy your life. If you love to improve yourself day by day and keep challenging yourself. Then you are on the right path to success.
Life is short. If you want to do something then you have to learn first and learning starts with self improvement.
In an old script that says-
If you want to change the world, then first change yourself.-unknown
and self-improvement does not stop at success there are many people out there who once taste success and after they stop learning and improving.
That is the dead-end of your happiness. Because the human mind loves to change and learn. If you stop learning and improving then you are literally saying to your subconscious that, now I am tired and giving up.
I don’t know, How people manage to not getting bored with one skill in hand for their entire life.
If you are still working on your goals. Then you do know the importance of self improvement and after success, when you think you are successful and you don’t have to learn anything then stop that thought, because you just achieved a droplet of an ocean.
So what is the right way to improve yourself?
There are some tips that are psychologically defined. But before that, you must check this article to know how you should approach to self improvement.
I think there are 3 stages in self improvement-
- Get Ready with self improvement mindset.
Get Ready –
Getting ready I meant, You must have to forget your past. No matter how bad or good that was, but you have to forget it when you are learning.
Because eventually it would be a distraction for you during self improvent or learning.
when you ready to start, then take action, yes Starting is most crucial, but no one knows you better than you. So agree on start and START.
After start, you have to come out of your comfort zone and keep pushing your limits.
When you are going through these stages then I have some tips, those would be helpful in your journey of self improvement-
1. Don’t Overthink, Just Start-
When we want to start something, then the first thing in our mind is to make it perfect. So what we do is, even that work doesn’t need too much effort or attention, but we overthink on that subject and do it. That is the main conflict with starting.
Other one is we fear to being awkward.
When we start a self improving habit that we never done before, then we feel awkward and our mind keep taunting us to being awkward.
For most of the people this is the reason to not start anything.
Just be awkward and don’t overthink it

2. Learn Gratitude-
If you are a teenager or in early twenties, then maybe you can’t relate to this word, All hormones, mindset to be cool in college is provoking you to insult others.
But let me tell you this, If you can not learn the gratitude, then you can not improve yourself.

I saw some people who always disparge behind back, never praise anyone. & mostly they never achieve anything in their life.
Gratitude is most important factor in self improvement. So grab it.
3. Get out of your Comfort Zone-

If you think you can achieve your goals within your comfort zone. you can wake up at 11 a.m. and watching Netflix all day. Then you are just fantasizing yourself. Because every success comes with sacrifice.
So get out of comfort zone, Know what you want, work for it.
Getting out of comfort zone does not mean you have to go jogging daily or go to a job and work harder so your bosses can get rich.
Many people assume those stereotype things when they think about getting out of their comfort zone.
Getting out of comfort zone means different to different people. For an Entrepreneur getting out of comfort zone means, daily working on marketing skills instead of gaming or watching OTT.
For an student, that is studying instead of partying, etc.
4. Challenge Yourself-
Unless you try to do something beyond you have already mastered, you will never grow.-Ralph Waldo Emerson
If you compare yourself (in positive way) with others then that is not a bad thing, unless you overdo it.
But I think there is something better when comes to self improvement.
You must have guts to challenge yourself and keep upgrading. Only with this mentality you can improve yourself tremendously.

Bad habits are too dangerous for a person and when they are untraceable then that danger can ruin lives.

6. Make Good Habits-

As much as staying away from a bad habit is important, same making a good habit is also important.
And if you are a youngster then making a good habit is most important to you .there are some examples of good habits are-
Reading a book-
Books are a source of knowledge since the beginning of civilization. They work like a mentor in one’s life. You must have a habit to read.

Taking a new course-
If you want to improve yourself then you have to learn, Thanks to online classes. Now you can learn at home.
Yes, this is out of your comfort zone, because you are dedicating your time to productive things instead of your dopamine activities.
Learn a new skill-

We go to school to learn things but actually most of us become a crammer.
We often forget the main purpose of going to school.
The main purpose is to learn a skill. And that you can do it on your own.
Be Aware of your Health-

Everything would be nothing if you would be not there to enjoy it. So take care of your health

- Do yoga
- Meditation for mindfulness.
7. Know your blind intelligence-
Do you know what is the secret to the success of people?
That is their passion and keep improving it with time.
So here question is How you can know what is your passion?

8. Time is your new currency

If I would ask you, What is your currency, then you might suggest, dollar euro or yen, but in the field of self improvement your currency is time.
You can’t ruin that currency, Because once that gone, then never comes back.
My point is, make a schedule to learn and your work. that is the one step towards self improvement.
9. Set Goals-

If you want to achieve something then you must have a goal in mind. Without a goal you are just fantasizing of success.
So get a goal of self improvement, ask to yourself how you can achieve it, How much time it would take, chunk in small pieces and take actions.
10.Get a Mentor-
There is saying in sanskrit-
Guru is like a God in your life.–Vedas
You can learn on your own, But having a mentor can short up your learning curve by half, Because Mentor gone through that situations, From which you are going to go.
So Get a mentor a true teacher, who can lead you to your success as says-

11. Stay away from Negative people
Last but not the least, this is one of the most important thing, even we often ignore it.
If we keep surrounded with Naysayers and negative people, then they can be the hurdle in your progress.
